Jo and Sonia have been building their Patreon page since 2019. Knowing even before Covid-19 the arts were in a tricky position.
If you would like to support Jo and Sonia in their work together you can do that for as little as £3 a month on this page.
Here we share processes and try outs with personal writing, images and videos. Our most recent video is called On Saying The Truth created during lockdown in the heat of the upsurge of awareness for Black Lives Matter.
The Sun’s Come Out

Its a bit of a sit down and lasts half an hour. Effortless.
Sonia and I have been meeting each week to chat, banter, rant, ponder, worry and plan.
We will be live writing on the 2nd 4th and 6th June.

JO FONG AND GEORGE ORANGE head to London and Machynlleth Comedy Festival 2020.
Jo and George present two middle-aged lives in an eclectic, spontaneous, predictable and random decline. Join them for an afternoon of dance, circus and games. Hopefully hopeful, The Rest of Our Lives is a joyful cabaret of life and near death.

Ways of Being Together is a celebration of possibility. A testament to the belief that amazing things can be created with people we barely know. That communities can emerge, remake themselves and be enriched.
Part of the Chinese Arts Now Festival 2020, Ways of Being Together draws together over forty performers from across London for a one-off spontaneous, dynamic mass movement of bodies and lives. Expect a view of the world in its multiplicity, its opposites and all its beautiful complexity.

As part of Jo Fong’s creative process for new work Ways of Being Together for Chinese Arts Now Festival Feb 2020, Jo will be sharing her ideas about the show and initiating a discussion around belonging on Friday 8th November, as well as leading a movement workshop for all levels/experiences on Saturday 9th November.
Ways of Being Together explores connection, communication and conversation, and the act and art of bringing people together.

Who’s Jo? Jo Fong is a dance artist who lives and works in Cardiff. Her work reflects the need in these times for people to come together. Her practice has been informed by notions of inclusivity, participation and is about being present, this moment, communication, listening, face to face encounters and the idea of forming community.

For dancers, practitioners, teachers, choreographers and for people who have physical practices such as martial arts, circus or actors. The Rest of Our Lives is an eclectic, spontaneous, predictable and random middle-aged decline. George and Jo have been pondering upon how it’s all going to go from here.
Hopefully hopeful The Rest of Our Lives will probably be too long or it might be a bit sudden and far too short and the last bit is likely to be a bit crap.
Time is on our side, but life is passing us by.
